Hammergrin's Founders are  John McCarthy and Sara-Jane Power

Hammergrin is a dynamic young theatre company from Cork, Ireland. Founded in 2005 by John McCarthy and Sara-Jane Power, we make exciting and entertaining original theatre.

Our most recent production, Hollander was nominated for a 2009 Irish Times Theatre Award in the Best Production category.

Hammergrin has a very strong and growing following and is an associate company of Cork Midsummer Festival having produced hit Midsummer projects over the past five years, including:  Hollander (2009); K: The Iowa Project (2008) The Threat of Humour (2007); The Trying Times print run total of 5000 copies snapped up; and our cult hit Trying Jokes (2005) which featured on an RTE Nationwide special.

We are currently in development for our next show, based on a private detective agency, for the 2010 Cork Midsummer Festival, as well as a few other creative projects.
